The Report now furnished is unobjectionable, and I have no observations to make on it except regards paragraph 16, in which Dr Doberok recommends the appointment of a junior assistant trained in England, to meet difficulties caused by the resignation of his native Assistants.
3. Dr Doberok's experiences in this matter are not different from those of other departments, and, as the Observatory Clerk's do not require any exceptional training, he ought not to be worse off than others, who are also constantly making demands
